"I just moved to Charlottesville found your hair salon online. I had my first appointment with Maya on Wednesday. I have been bragging to everyone the rest of this week because it was the best haircut I have ever had. Not only was the style exactly what I was looking for, but Maya was really incredible. I let her know about my very basic air-drying quick and easy hair preference and the entire time she was giving me great tips on how to make that work. She told me about products I could use and tricks to help make it look as though I spent time styling. I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to styling my hair, I just graduated from college and I made great use of my ponytail while there so she gave me a mini tutorial on how to blow out my hair as she was doing it! She really went above and beyond. She was fantastic!

"This past Saturday was my first time @ Bristles and Reggie was my stylist. While he was cutting and coloring my hair we were talking about many topics and one was the fact he does makeup. I was asking him about makeup for my eyes because I have a prosthetic eye and my eyelashes are impossible to make equal to my other eye, you can really see a difference. I asked Reggie if he could show me a technique on how to address this issue. Reggie took out his makeup box and took about 20 minutes making up my eyes and face; was I ever surprised. I started to cry at the end of our session because I had not seen myself in eye makeup in years. I was so happy; words cannot express what Reggie did for me that day. I gave him a big bear hug at the end and thanked him for his time he gave me. I felt so beautiful, it made the rest on my weekend. By the way, I love my haircut too!"
